Sanmolt-F

Trade Name Sanmolt-F
Chemical Name Formalin and BKC

Introduction:

Today, many aquaculturists have been schooled to use crude/strong chemicals under certain severe conditions of infestation of pathogens or delayed molting. Deliberate use of strong chemicals like Formalin and Benzylkonium Chloride in formidable quantities has now become a common practice. Such strong chemicals may resolve the existing problems for a short period but their usage results in many disadvantages like

  • Removal of dissolved oxygen from the pond.

  • Destruction of useful algae (algal crash).

  • Adverse effect on pond environment.

  • Severe stress to the shrimps.

  • Influence of temperature (tendency to change structural form under high or low temperature makes them toxic).

With its state-of-the-art Research and Development Centre, Biostadt offers scientifically valid, quality inputs for aquaculture use. In harmony with the concept of "sustainable shrimp farming", Biostadt's aqua products produce desired results and are safe for shrimps and the environment.

Sanmolt-FTM - a unique product from Biostadt, has been introduced specially to discourage farmers from using strong chemicals. It consists of right proportions of aquaculture grade Formalin, Benzylkonium Chloride and suitable stabilizers. The right combination results in a synergistic action.

As a consequence, unlike strong chemicals, Sanmolt-FTM provides desired results with low quantities. Since appropriate stabilizers in the product make Sanmolt-FTM soft, it does not cause any stress or damage to the shrimp or environment. Sanmolt-FTM is temperature resistant and bio-degradable. It is easy to handle and has been specially designed for safe use in aquaculture.

Composition:

Aquaculture grade Formalin, Benzylkonium Chloride and suitable stabilizer in appropriate proportion.

Advantages:
  • Quick in action.
  • Can be used in low quantities.
  • Cost effective.
  • Does not cause any algal crash.
  • Resistant to temperature changes.
  • Does not cause any stress to shrimp/environment.

Dosage and Application:

Recommended : 10 - 15 Litres/Hectare (1metre water depth)

Dilute required quantity of Sanmolt-FTM in water outside the pond and apply uniformly throughout the pond.

Dosage can be decreased/increased based on the prevailing conditions in the pond. Consult our field staff/your aquaculture specialist for specific usage and directions.

Storage and Caution:
  • Storage
Store in a cool and dark place.
