Introduction:

Janbaaz is a highly active, broad-spectrum insecticide from the phenyl pyrazole family. Scientists discovered fipronil and identified its insecticidal properties in 1987. Used at low doses, the active ingredient is highly effective against a broad range of insects and pests, including ants and roaches.

[(trifluoromethyl)sulfinyl]pyrazole-3-carbonitrile
CAS 5-amino-1-[2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4-
[(trifluoromethyl)sulfinyl]-1H-pyrazole-3-carbonitrile
Formula C12H4Cl2F6N4OS
Activity insecticides (phenylpyrazole insecticides)
Structure

Mode of Action:

Janbaaz offers a new chemistry with a unique mode of action. Janbaaz disrupts the insect's central nervous system by blocking the passage of chloride ions through the GABA receptor, an inhibitor of the central nervous system. This causes hyperexcitation of contaminated insects' nerves and muscles. While many classes of insecticides affect the central nervous system, no other class has this specific effect.

Spectrum of Action and Uses:
  • Janbaaz acts as an insecticide with contact and stomach action. Janbaaz can be used against major lepidopterous and orthopterous pests on a wide range of field and horticultural crops and against coleopterous larvae in soils.
  • Janbaaz also reported to control termite pests and was shown to be effective in field trials.

Direction of Use:

Recommended dose of Janbaaz granule should be broadcasted using operated granule applicator or mechanical dispenser in Paddy, 2-3 cm standing water should be in the field and keep water impounded for 2-3 days after application.

Packaging Availability:

Janbaaz is available in very handy and nice pack of 5kg.
